Hello! I’m a Gusion Main with 1000+ matches with him and already Mythic. My name in Mobile Legends is Demography; check my profile for proof. 

I started learning Gusion by watching tutorials while saving BP for him. Then, when I bought him, it took me around 50 matches with him before I started using him properly.

Here I’m going to teach you tips how to play Gusion like a pro. The following is what my tutorial covers:

STEP 1: Learn his Skill Effects.

That is how I started with him. I tested out his skills in classic mode. Let me explain them.

His first skill shoots a sword, if it hits a target, it deals damage to the target. Also, tap the skill again to bring you behind the target. For beginners, it might sound useless but it’s actually helpful because of his possible combos. Later I will show you his combos.

His second skill shoots 5 daggers forward, dealing damage to enemy units hit by the skill. 

The first and second skill work well together. I’ll show you why when I explain the combos.

His third skill/ultimate/ss is called Incandescence. Using the skill makes you dash in your desired location within a range. Also, using the skill refreshes your first and second skill. All of Gusion’s skills actually work well with each other. They are all important to make a perfect combo with him.

STEP 2: Learn how to use his combos.

Learning his combos are very important to become a good Gusion user because that is what his skills were made for. For Gusion, there are many combos you can use for him. The kind of combo you should use depends on the enemy’s health, how tanky they are, where the enemy is, and which teammates are bear them. This is the legend for the combos.

1 - First Skill

2 - Second Skill

3 - Third/Ultimate Skill

First Combo: 2 3 2 1 2 1

This is my usual combo whenever I play Gusion. Use this combo if you want to engage/ambush a squishy enemy that


 is full, 3/4 health, or a low health tank. When you use this combo, it’s usually for attacking enemies a bit far from you; not in the range for the first skill. It’s for chasing people too in ganks.

Second Combo: 2 1 1 2

This combo is for nearby enemies which you can easily finish with this combo. Use this so you won’t waste your Ultimate Skill. Only use your ult if it’s necessary like for ganking  or running away from enemies if low health.

Third Combo: 3 2 1 1 2

It’s like the first combo, but it’s for chasing really fast/ far low health enemies. Use this in that case because sometimes, using 2nd skill before 3rd skill wastes a bit of your time. But you can use the first Combo if the enemies are not really far. This third combo is for enemies hard to chase. Let’s move on to the next step.

STEP 3: Use the Appropriate Emblem Set.

For the emblem set, let me show you my suggested one. Try it out!

STEP 4: Use a Build Suited for you.

Many players make mistakes by copying the builds of pro 
players. They do that because they think that it’s one of the 
best builds. Wrong. You should use the build suited for you. 

Make your own build, or you can start by copying a top player’s build if you think it’s good. Then try it out in classic mode, then revise and fix your build. Add what item you think works best for you. That is why the best build is the one that suits you best. But if you want to try my build and improvise, it’s okay.

Rapid Boots. Rapid boots is good for Gusion because he needs mobility and speed to chase and hunt down his enemies to secure a kill. 

Clock of Destiny. He needs Clock of Destiny because of the extra HP it gives because Gusion is really a soft hero. He also needs mana .. and his unique passive of the clock of Destiny.

Lightning Truncheon. It grants 10% CDR, 300 Mana and Magic Power.

Winter Truncheon. It gives 300 HP, but the main reason is for the freeze effect. Freeze upon using. The hero will be frozen but he will be immune do any damage and  debuff for 2 seconds. Cool down: 100 sec.

Concentrated Energy. It gives 700 HP, 70 Magic Power and +25% lifesteal. The passive is: kill and enemy to recover 
Health Points by 10%.

Divine Glaive. It grants 65 Magic Power, +40% Magic PEN, and if your HP is higher than 70%, the Magic PEN is increased by 30%.

STEP 5 (FINAL): Learn a technique on How to Dominate the
 game when using Gusion.

I added this step so I can share some of my experiences using Gusion to you. As a Gusion Main, I have a lot of experiences with him so I know what tip you should keep in mind whenever you use Gusion. Let me explain now.

Here’s my tip for you: Start your game well because it affects the mid and late game. Let me show you how to have a good early game.

Start by clearing one wave with a teammate in the mid lane. Then after that, start getting the top buff with a teammate. Gusion loses mana fast without buff; and having buff or not affects the team fight. Don’t use Retribution on the buff unless absolutely needed to secure it. Save the retribution for the crab. After getting the buff, secure the top crab. To be able to secure the jungle monsters, you need to rotate with good heroes. Here are some heroes you can secure jungle monsters with:

1. Tanky Fighters (ex. Chou)
2. Tanks (ex. Khufra, Minotaur, Grock)
3. Tanky Supports (ex. Diggie, Kaja)

Then after getting the top crab, clear one minion wave at the top lane. Now by then you’re supposed to be level 4. 

Now you’re supposed to start ganking with teammates. If you have those teammates I suggested to rotate with, you will be able to kill enemies easily. Doing so gives your team an advantage, a good start and a higher level than the enemies. 

Then, get the turtle with your team; try to secure it with retribution. By that time, you must be level 6 with the turtle buff. You can kill enemies easily with your combos. It gives your team a chance to push turrets. 

Mid to late game will be easy for your team and you can easily push turrets and lead your team to victory!
